With the Sydney Red Bull X-Fighters only a week away we grab a few words with last years champ Josh Sheehan to see if he's ready to defend his win.
How are you feeling leading up to next weeks Red Bull X-Fighters in Sydney?
Well, I have been pretty excited the last month, but that was dampened last week with some bad weather forecasted here and some sore ribs. But, otherwise things are good. I’m looking forward to it and hoping I get a few nice days to practice before I head over.
How are you doing since your neck surgery last month?
Neck has been great, its felt fine for a while. The only problem was the nerve that it pinched which made one arm weak. It’s improving fast but still has a bit to go.

Do you think you have what it takes to take the win again?
It’s getting harder and harder now with some massive tricks being pulled by the other riders. If I feel good and ride perfect, it is possible but will be very tough.
Tell us about who you think will be your biggest competition?
Well Levi and Tom are on fire, but Tom is bringing these gnarly new tricks to the comp so he will be a tough one to beat!
Do you feel any pressure to do well since you took the win last year at this round?
Yeah definitely, it feels like people will be expecting something big, but I am a little more relaxed now. I can’t rush myself after the bad start to the year and there will be a lot of focus on Tom and Levi for the series wins.
Well good luck bud, all at FRMX are just pumped you've recovered enough to ride this killer event and can't wait to see you out there.
