Townsville Motocross, Enduro and Dirt Bike Tracks
Woodstock Motocross and Dirt Track, Lang Park
The Woodstock Motocross and Dirt Track, otherwise known as ‘The Lang Park Complex at Woodstock’, opened in 1925 and is one of Australia’s oldest speedways. This is a popular track with riders; the iconic dirt track is made of decomposed granite and promises a fast ride. The track is managed by the Townsville Motorcycle Club and various competitions are run at Lang Park, including motocross, dirt track and speedway events. All competitions at the track are conducted under the control of Motorcycling Australia and Motorcycling Queensland.
Opening hours: The track has no regular opening hours for dirt track club days, motoross club days or practice days. However, the last Sunday of each month is typically reserved for dirt track and long track events. On all club days, the gates open at 7am with sign-on and scrutineering from 8am to 9am. Cost: $20 practice fee for all members.
The annual membership fee is $40 for seniors and $60 for families.
Number of tracks: 4, including an 800-metre-long granite main track, a 450-metre-long senior speedway track and a 130-metre-long junior speedway track.
Licence requirements: Motorcycling Australia Licences are mandatory. Day licences are available for purchase at events.
